Cinedigm’s OTT service launched the new streaming programme from Monday through September 4.
The programme will offer highlights from last weekend’s CONtv LIVE, streamed live from Wizard World Comic Con in Chicago, along with new exclusive content.
“Fanboys and fangirls loved CONtv LIVE and wanted more,” said Cinedim chairman and CEO Chris McGurk. “I’m thrilled we can bring them their favourite panels, celebrities, interviews, and behind the scenes video game play straight to their homes.
“Going forward, live-streaming will play a pivotal role on CONtv, offering unprecedented access to a variety of Comic Cons, fan events and gatherings nationwide.”
The virtual Con line-up includes interviews with Jeremy Renner (pictured), Ben McKenzie, Stephen Amell, Burt Reynolds, Ian Somerhalder and Eli Roth. There will also be expert discussions on Deadpool, racism in comics, filmmaking, superheroes and vampires.
CONtv is one of three OTT channels owned by Cinedigm and recently passed 500,000 app downloads across various devices.
