Olivier-winning stage actor appeared in films including A Man For All Seasons, Excalibur and Four Weddings and a Funeral.

British actor Corin Redgrave has died at the age of 70, his family said today.

In a statement, the family said: “Corin Redgrave has died today. He was taken ill at home in the early hours of Sunday morning. He died very peacefully surrounded by his family. We will miss him so very much.”

Redgrave is the son of Michael Redgrave and sister of Vanessa Redgrave. He is an Olivier-winning stage actor and has appeared in films including A Man For All Seasons, Excalibur, Enigma, In the Name of The Father, and Four Weddings and a Funeral.

The BBC reports that the actor was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2000 and suffered a heart attack in 2005.
