Park Chan-wook's I'm A Cyborg, But That's OK, which is screening in competition at Berlin this year, has been selected as the opening film of the 31st Hong Kong International Film Festival.

Director Park and the film's stars, Rain (Jung Ji-hoon) and Lim Soo-jung, will attend the official opening gala on March 19 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The festival runs March 20 - April 11, 2007.

The film has also been nominated for two awards at the inaugural Asian Film Awards (AFA); Rain for best actor and Lim for best actress. The AFAs will be held in Hong Kong on March 20, which is also the opening night of Hong Kong Filmart and the Hong Kong Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF).
