Mary Daily has been named executive vice president of marketing for North America at Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

Daily previously worked for the studio for nine years in its European marketing unit in London, when she pioneered the concept of selling television programming to consumers via VHS and DVD.

She will play a pivotal role in leading key Fox business initiatives, notably the consumer transition to Blu-ray Disc as well as the use and adoption of its Digital Copy solution for portability.

The specific areas of responsibility under her direct purview are brand marketing, creative development, public relations and event marketing, online marketing, promotions and retail marketing for all products distributed by the division. She will report directly to general manager of North America, Simon Swart.

Prior to rejoining Fox, Daily most recently headed up New Programme Enterprises at MTV Networks International and before that she was Universal Pictures International's president of international marketing.
