Despite an Academy Award nomination today, eight local award nominations and 1.2 million admissionsin Sweden, last year's local box office champion As It Is In Heaven didn't wina single Swedish Film Award (Guldbagge) at a ceremony held last night inStockholm.

Instead, Tomas Alfredson'sfour hour's drama Four Shades Of Brown and first- time film maker MariaBlom's comedy drama Dalecarlians were the clear winners at the ceremony,taking four and three awards respectively.

The award for best film waspicked up by Lars Jonsson of Memfis Film, who produced Dalecarlians. Thefilm also won the award for best script as well as an honour for Kajsa Ernst asbest supporting actress.

Four Shades Of Brown by TV outfit Killingganget won awards for bestdirector (Tomas Alfredson), best actress (Maria Kulle), best actor (RobertGustafsson) and best supporting actor (Ulf Brunnberg).

A prize also went to ColinNutley's English-language drama The Queen Of Sheba's Pearls for thecinematography by Jens Fisher, while Russian The Return by AndrejZvjagincev was named best foreign film.

This year's recipient of theIngmar Bergman Award, elected by the cinema legend himself, was Swedish actorMikael Persbrandt. 90-year-old actress Sickan Carlsson won the life-timeachievement award for her many roles in Swedish cinema.
