The Harry Potter producer will collect the award for the best international film adaptation.

Producer David Heyman is to receive the award for the best international film adaptation at the The Frankfurt Book Fair, for his role in adapting the Harry Potter series.

He will be presented with the 10,000 euros prize, during the Hessian Film Award ceremony on October 14.

Heyman will also be speaking at the Frankfurt StoryDrive, the Frankfurt Book Fair’s all-media platform.

“It is an art to adapt a novel in such a way that it captures the imagination of the reader and corresponds with the way they perceive the story in their minds. Heyman has succeeded in creating this magic eight times”, said Juergen Boos, director of the Frankfurt Book Fair.
