King was previously deputy sales director at PPI in London.
Former Paramount Pictures International deputy sales director David King has joined IMAX as director of film distribution and marketing, EMEA.
King will be responsible for the distribution and marketing of IMAX films and other content throughout EMEA. He will report to Phil Groves, senior vice president, IMAX worldwide distribution and exhibitor relations and Christine Tasto, vice president, IMAX film marketing.
King will also work closely with his former PPI boss Andrew Cripps, now president of IMAX EMEA and executive vice president of IMAX.
King joined Paramount in 2004 and became deputy sales director in 2008.
“I have worked with David for many years and I am confident that his leadership skills, strategic relationships and market knowledge will help fuel the demand for IMAX content in EMEA,” said Cripps.
IMAX currently has 101 theatres in EMEA.
