Rather than being whittled down, the short list forthe Louis Delluc prize has been augmented to six candidates, it was announcedtoday. Along with the previously nominated Bled Number One by RabahAmeur-Zaïmeche, Cannes Palme d'Or winner Flanders by Bruno Dumont, OtarIosseliani's Jardins En Automne, Pascale Ferran's Lady Chatterleyand Xavier Giannoli's Cannes competitor Quand J'Etais Chanteur, AlainResnais' Coeurs has been added to the mix.

The five features in the running for best first film,have, however, been cut to three with Gabriel Le Bomin's Les Fragmentsd'Antonin, documentary Kigali, Des Images Contre Un Massacreby Jean-Christophe Klotz and Le Pressentiment, a first film by actorJean-Pierre Darroussin all vying for the trophy.

The Louis Delluc prizes, among France'shighest honours for film, will be handed out on Dec 18. Last year's winnerswere The Regular Lovers (LesAmants Reguliers) by Philippe Garrel and Anthony Cordier's Cold Showers.
