Almost four years after Israel's only film laboratory was closed down, the Israeli Ministry of Industry and Commerce has given its blessing to the opening of a new facility.

Adam Greenberg, a Hollywood cameraman of Israeli origin whose credits include the Terminator movies and Ghost, his scientist brother Jan Greenberg and film lab specialist Eyal Rosenfarb, have unveiled plans to open a state-of-the-art facility with the backing of international film lab Deluxe.

The partners aim to service the international market as well as domestic productions and increase Israel's profile in the film laboratory sector. The Israeli government has offered the partners a $2m loan towards their total $7.5m investment. The labs will be located in Jerusalem's industrial area, Ataroth.
