Danny DeVito, Irwin Winkler and Edward Zwick will be honoured at the 23rd annual Israel Film Festival, which runs in New York from October 29-November 13.

DeVito will receive the Lifetime Visionary Award, Winkler the Lifetime Achievement Award and Zwick the Outstanding Achievement In Film award. Zwick's second world war Resistance drama Defiance starring Daniel Craig and Live Schreiber will open in the US through Paramount Vantage in December,

More than 36 new Israeli features, documentaries, student short films and TV dramas will screen at the festival.
