I agree largely with Phil, but I personally think there are more issues in the depths of the outer picture, which are shocking. I am not sure how successful cinema and good cinema go very much hand in hand anywhere in the world, but considering that to be successful, films have to be good - what Phil says is very true. But perhaps if the focus was on creating good cinema, things could be slightly better. I think its great that this article brings some uncomfortable ghosts out of the closet. Well done indeed.
