Dominic Cooper, Ophelia Lovibond (Mr Popper’s Penguins) and Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey) have lined up to star in Summer in February for CrossDay and Apart Films.

The film will start shooting in January.

Jonathan Smith adapted from his own novel and Christopher Menual (Prime Suspect) will direct.

The story is about the bohemian artists group Lamorna at the start of the 20th century, including a love triangle that plays out on the Cornish coast.

Pippa Cross and Janette Day will produce for CrossDay, with Jeremy Cowdrey (a former stockbroker) for Apart Films. Bob Benton and Dan Stevens will serve as executive producers.

The cast also includes Hattie Morahan.
