Drafthouse Films has acquired North American rights from HanWay Films to Berlinale European premiere 20,000 Days On Earth.

Visual artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard’s directorial debut explores the creative process of Nick Cave and imagines one fictional day in his life. Cave composed the score with Warren Ellis.

The film first screened in the World Cinema Documentary strand at Sundance where it won best directing and best editing awards.

20,000 Days On Earth is a Pulse Films / JW Films production. James Wilson and Dan Bowen produced with the support of Film4, Corniche Pictures & the BFI. 

Drafthouse plans to release the documentary this year.
