Frederique Dumas-Zajdela has been named president of the commission of France's CNC which deals with approving feature films for state funding.

Dumas Zajdela manages local production house Noe Productions and will take over the CNC functions from Margaret Menegoz who was recently named president of French film export body Unifrance.

Her position at Noe has led to the production of films such as Danis Tanovic's Oscar winning No Man's Land and Jan Kounen's controversial Dobermann.

Alongside her continued involvement with Noe, Dumas-Zajdela's mission will now be to oversee a commission of 20 industry experts who will judge films submitted for aid via the CNC's funding system.
