UK production company Liberty Films and Independent, the UK sales company, have sold out the world rights to Duncan Jones’ sci-fi thriller Moon.

Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group, which has already taken the rights to all English speaking territories, has added all Asian territories excluding South Korea as well as Italy, Spain, Latin America. The deals were negotiated by the film’s producer Stuart Fenegan of Liberty Films and Sony’s Michael Helfand.
 
Independent closed further sales at Cannes including France (Swift Distribution), Scandinavia (Nonstop Entertainment), Benelux (A – Film Distribution), Middle East (Shooting Stars), CIS (CP Digital), Poland (Monolith Films), Greece (Seven Films), Turkey (Mars Production), South Korea (Daisy Entertainment) and German speaking Europe (Telepool).

Moon, which had its world premiere at Sundance earlier this year, will go out in the USA on June 12 and the UK on July 17.
