Dutch director Frans Weisz (Charlotte, Polonaise) is planning a feature about one of the most controversial episodes in the history of the Royal Dutch family: the Greet Hofmans-incident.

Greet Hofmans, a faith-healer (1894-1968) had a profound influence on Queen Juliana during the fifties . The relationship was condemned by the Dutch government and nearly lead to the downfall of the royal family in the Netherlands.

Weisz's film will be based on the novel Mevrouw Majesteit (Madame Majesty) by Hans Galesloot, with whom he is developing the screenplay for a planned 2004 shoot.

The film will be produced by Hans de Weers of Egmond Film and Television (Antonia's Line).
