E1 Entertainment has hired former Paramount Home Entertainment acquisitions consultant Sejin Park as director of worldwide acquisitions.

Park will be based in Los Angeles and reports to senior vice-president of worldwide acquisitions Lara Thompson, focusing chiefly on acquiring material for E1’s US home entertainment arm E1 Entertainment US, and will seek out multi-territory opportunities where appropriate.

Prior to Paramount Home Entertainment, Park held the position of director of acquisitions and production at New Line for eight years.

E1 Entertainment is currently in post-production on The Bang Bang Club starring Ryan Phillippe, Malin Akerman and Taylor Kitsch, as well as The Shock Doctrine, based on reporter Naomi Klein’s non-fictional account of disaster capitalism.
