Berlin-based Eastern European Acquisition Pool (EEAP) has acquired rights to new productions by Germany's Boje Buck Produktion and Barefoot Films for Central and Eastern Europe as well as for the CIS territories.

All rights were secured for these territories to Detlev Buck's first children's film Hands Off Mississippi after EEAP had already handled Buck's previous film Tough Enough, which was released theatrically in Russia, Poland and Hungary and had its TV rights sold to TV Center (Russia), TVP (Poland), TV2 (Hungary), TV7 (Bulgaria) Slovak TV.

Hands Off Mississippi took more than $3m (Euros 2.3m) from the German box office on its release this spring.

Similarly, EEAP is continuing its successful collaboration with Tom Zickler and Til Schweiger's Barefoot Films after the previous acquisitions of Barefoot and One Way by picking up the actor-producer's latest directorial effort Keinohrhasen for Central and Eastern Europe and the CIS territories.

Produced by Barefoot Films with Warner Bros Film and private broadcaster SAT.1, the romantic comedy co-stars Nora Tschirner (Soloalbum), Matthias Schweighoefer (The Red Baron), newcomer Alwara Höfels, Armin Rohde (The Robber Hotzenplotz) and Rick Kavanian (Dreamship Surprise: Period 1), and wrapped at the end of last month. Warner Bros Pictures Germany will release the film theatrically in Germany next year.
