Echo Bridge Entertainment has picked up international rights from 26 Films to Baltasar Kormakur's new Engish-language thriller Inhale and will commence pre-sales this week at AFM.

Production just wrapped on the story starring Dermot Mulroney as a rising LA District Attorney who gets involved with a Mexican criminal medical ring in a desperate bid to save his daughter from a rare disease.

Rounding out the cast are Diane Kruger, Rosanna Arquette, Vincent Perez and Jordi Molla. John Claflin worked on Christian Escario's early draft of the screenplay. Kormakur's credits include Jar City, A Little Trip To Heaven and 101 Reykavik.

Los Angeles-based 26 Films' Michelle Chydzik Sowa and Nathalie Marciano produced the film and retain domestic rights in anticipation of a 2009 release. 26 Films' credits include The Wedding Date and My Life In Ruins.

'Inhale features all the key elements of a box office success,' Echo Bridge's executive vice president Dan March said. 'It's a fast-paced thriller genre with stellar A-List cast and production team and a critically acclaimed, up-and-coming director - the style of the film will definitely appeal to a broad audience of movie fans.'

Echo Bridge's AFM slate includes My Life In Ruins starring Nia Vardalos and Richard Dreyfuss, the thriller Cruel World starring Edward Furlong and Jaime Pressly and the comedy Just Add Water with Danny DeVito, Jonah Hill and Dylan Walsh.

Last April the company acquired Alliance Atlantis International Distribution from Goldman Sachs Capital Partners in a move that doubled the library of first-run and catalogue programming to more than 11,000 titles.
