Kudos Pictures has hired Ed Clarke as head of development. Clarke spent the last three years at Capitol Films as head of development and acquisitions.
Kudos Pictures, which was lead producer on David Cronenberg's Eastern Promises, is the film arm of Kudos Film and TV. Its forthcoming productions include wildlife documentary The Crimson Wing and Rowan Woods' If The Spirit Moves You written by Abi Morgan.
At Capitol, Clarke worked on projects including John Maybury's The Edge Of Love, Sidney Lumet's Before The Devil Knows You're Dead, Paddy Breathnach's Shrooms and Jonathan King's forthcoming Under The Mountain.
'We are thrilled Ed is joining us at this crucial stage in the company's development,' said Kudos Pictures partners Stephen Garrett and Paul Webster. 'We have long admired Ed's good taste, tenacity and market savvy, he will be a vital addition to the team.'

Before Capitol, Clarke worked as a course producer and tutor at Arista Development. He is a graduate of the producer's course at the National Film and Television School.
