Egoli Tossell, one of the leading German indie producers, has won itself a pool of fresh cash to boost its development slate.

The company, which was involved in last year's Cannes competition title The Russian Ark and Nana Djordjadze's 2000 Directors Fortnight film 27 Missing Kisses, was granted a $1.5m state guarantee by the Berlin city government.

New projects benefiting from the fund include Agnieszka Holland's Catherine, Ed Herzog's Lively Up Yourself and The Weather Idiot by Djordjadze.
