Bernd Eichinger is being lined up to succeed Commerzbank's Franz Jung as a member of Constantin Film's supervisory board from January 1, 2003.

Eichinger, who built Constantin Film up into Germany's most successful independent production and distribution house over the two decades since joining the company in 1979, had served as the chairman of Constantin's management board when it floated on the Neuer Markt in 1999.

A 25% shareholder in Constantin, Eichinger stepped down from his position on the management board in spring of 2001 to devote his energies once more to production.

At the same time, Constantin announced that it has applied to be listed in the German Stock Exchange's new Prime Standard segment since it 'already satisfies all the requirements made on inclusion in this highest-quality segment (') such as regular annual and quarterly reporting in German and English and application of the international IAS / US GAAP accounting standards.'

This new listing would take effect from the beginning of January.
