John Fremes' Element FilmsInternational (EFI) has closed key deals in Cannes on drama The Last Time starring Michael Keaton, Brendan Fraser andAmber Valletta.

Fremes is showing footage tobuyers on Michael Caleo's tale of a top salesman who falls for his protege'sgirlfriend. The project is in post-production.

Adam Rosenfelt, president ofUS-based production company Element Films, produced with Malcolm Petaland Peter Samuelson. Element owner Sam Nazarian served as executive producer.

Sales have closed with:Mexico (Quality Films); Brazil (California Films); Russia (Rospo Film);Canada (Alliance Atlantis Motion Picture Distribution LP); and theBenelux (Indies Entertainment).

Further deals were made withScandinavia (Nordisk Film); Eastern Europe (Revolutionary Releasing);the Middle East (Italia Film International); Indonesia (PT Camila);South Africa (Ster Kinekor); Iceland (Bergvik); Greece (HollywoodEntertainment); and Portugal (Lusomundo Audiovisuals).

Earlier this week EFIsecured a number of sales on its psychological thriller Mr Brooks starring Kevin Costner. The Cannes slate also includethe rock and roll comedy Boy Town.
