He previously held the position of executive vice president of Myriad Pictures.
LA based production and distribution company Maya Entertainment has appointed Elias Axume as executive vice president for international distribution.
Axume will be responsible for international sales and distribution at the company, which was founded in 2008 by producer Moctesuma Esparza.
He joins Maya from Myriad Pictures where he was executive vice president, overseeing worldwide sales, distribution and acquisitions on a slate of titles including Main Street and Serious Moonlight.
Prior to Myriad, Axume was vice president of post production and distribution services at Mobius Films International and Franchise Pictures.
“I am thrilled and honored to be asked by Maya Entertainment to build their new international sales and distribution division,” said Axume.
“Maya is a fine company with a solid business plan and a track record of success in their current areas of distribution. I feel confident that with the strategy we’ve developed, Maya will be a competitive new international force.”
