The scheme aims to support film-makers in the east of England following the demise of regional screen agency Screen East.

Regional screen agency EM Media has launched a new training initiative to support film-makers in the east of England, following the closure of regional screen agency Screen East.

The Career Acceleration Programme already operates in the East Midlands, but is being opened out to film professionals in the east of the country.

It offers film professionals across development, production distribution and exhibition up to 50% towards training and skills support, which could include support to attend festivals, conferences and training courses or costs towards a mentor.

Applicants to the programme will participate in a one-to-one Development Needs Analysis session with EM Media to help identify the best means to accelerate and enhance their chances of industry success.

In December 2010 the agency launched EM Media East a special scheme to support projects that had previously received funding from Screen East.
