Canadian media company Entertainment One is rebranding its expanding operations under one global banner, E1 Entertainment.

The new name comes with a new logo and the integration of its operations in Canada, the US, the UK and Benelux into four main units: E1 Television, E1 Films, E1 Music and E1 Distribution.

On the film front, Canadian distributors Seville Pictures and Maximum Films have combined to form E1 Entertainment Canada under co-presidents David Reckziegel and Bryan Gliserman.

Les Films Seville, E1 Entertainment Canada's Montreal-based subsidiary, will continue under that name.

UK distributor Contender Entertainment Group will operate as E1 Entertainment UK under managing director Richard Bridgwood, while RCV Entertainment becomes E1 Entertainment Benelux under long-time co-managing directors Jan Kouwenhoven and Joke Wartenbergh.

On the international sales front, Seville International and Maximum International have also been combined to form E1 Films International, led by Charlotte Mickie.

'This re-branding is an important milestone for our company,' said E1 CEO Darren Throop in a statement.' He said the company would now focus on its strategy of expanding content ownership and extending its global distribution network.
