Eros International is preparing its widest ever release for Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om, which will open on more than 2,000 screens worldwide on November 9.

Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the film stars Bollywood's number one star, Shah Rukh Khan. It also marks the debut of model Deepika Padukone.

Choreographer Farah Khan made her debut as a director with the highly successful Main Hoon Na, also featuring Shah Rukh Khan.

A reincarnation story, Om Shanti Om abides by the principles of a regular Hindi movie, with themes of love, dreams, betrayal and destiny revolving around a film actor called Om and his leading lady and romantic interest Shanti. The story traverses 30 years from the 1970s to 2007.

Kishore Lulla, chairman and CEO, Eros International said: 'Eros has always enjoyed a fantastic relationship with Shah Rukh Khan and we are looking forward to releasing Om Shanti Om during the festive season of Diwali.'

Red Chillies is a film and advertising production house controlled by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. It also has an in-house visual effects division, which has successfully completed VFX work on films such as Chak De India, Don and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom.
