Tube Entertainment's big underground action picture Tube has scored additional sales in Europe selling to AV Film for Italy and Pathe for France. Spain's Manga Entertainment bought both Tube and Jan Sun Woo's sci-fi fantasy Resurrection Of The Little Match Girl.

Tube has also struck a deal with John Sloss' Cinetic Media to represent both sales and remake rights on its big-budget android fantasy Natural City in North America and other English-speaking territories. Meantime the picture continues to do good business, with an Italian deal with Creative Film House a Mifed highlight.

The Korean indie also struck a pre-sale to Turkey's Cinemedya on a film it has yet to fully pitch. Fighter In The Wind is a fictionalised biopic of a Karate master Oyama Mastatsu, who was born in Korea, but became a national hero in Japan.

Tube has had little problem putting together the finance and has raised 85% of the $5m budget even before signing on the necessary Japanese co-producer. One of Oyama's disciples put up $600,000 of his own cash.

In addition to the usual roster of Japanese production and distribution houses, Tube is now also in active discussions with talent management organisations which are keen to co-finance. Fighter In The Wind will be directed by Libera Me-director Yang Yoon-ho, who has already cast Hirayama Aya (Water Boys) as the female lead and Masaya Kato as one of the master's fiercest opponents.
