Exclusive Media confirm Charlize Theron Dark Places project
The late tumble of US sale product continued as Exclusive Media said it would produce and finance the Gillian Flynn adaptation alongside Theron’s Denver And Delilah Productions, Stephane Marsil’s Hugo Productions and Mandalay Vision.
Theron will star and produce with Exclusive Media co-chairmen Nigel Sinclair and Guy East, Marsil and Mandalay’s Cathy Schulman, who will produce “in some capacity”, a press released issued late on Wednesday night  in Los Angeles said.
Marsil has developed and packaged all Paquet-Brenner’s starting with Pretty Things and when the director brought him the book he optioned it and set Paquet-Brenner to develop.
Tobin Armbrust and Alex Brunner of Exclusive Media will serve as executive producers with Peter Safran. Brunner brought the project to Exclusive Media.
Dark Places centres on a woman who is confronted by amateur investigators about her actions 25 years earlier when as a seven-year-old girl she testified against her brother after witnessing the massacre of her family in what appeared to be a satanic cult ritual.
