Three-day festival Crossing The Line examines the development and history of projects which tread the fine line between truth and fiction.
Presented by DocHouse and the BBC, the festival is opened by UK director Ken Loach with a keynote speech about the popular crossover form of TV and film that is 'based on reality'. `Other features include masterclasses, debates and luminaries such as Antonia Bird, Nick Broomfield, Andy Harries and Stephen Frears. Pawel Pawlikowski, Penny Woolcock and Kevin Macdonald are also confirmed.
Screenings include classics such as The Thin Blue Line, Punishment Park and Kiarostami's Close-up. Ghosts, Touching The Void and United 93 will also be shown.
