Film Distributors' Association (FDA) and The Script Factory will join forces to provide a script-reading training programme and a series of seminars exclusively for UK film distributors.

Three one-day script-reading training courses, which are free to those working in film distribution, aim to help distributors enhance feature film script analysis. They will take place on April 3, May 2 and June 19.

Seminars - which have yet to be scheduled - will address the film development process, connections between filmmakers and distributors and the changing face of digital home entertainment.

This is the third year FDA and The Script Factory have offered the free industry training courses but the first year the informal seminars are on offer.

FDA chief executive Mark Batey said he was 'delighted' to be extending and developing the partnership this year.
