EXCLUSIVE: Bloom has reported strong sales at AFM on its thriller Unlocked led by a deal with Lionsgate UK.

Noomi Rapace, Michael Douglas, Orlando Bloom, John Malkovich and Toni Collette star in the thriller, which has started shooting in London.

Michael Apted directs the story of a CIA interrogator who must thwart a biological attack on London after she inadvertently provides information to terrorists.

Bloom chief Alex Walton has closed Unlocked sales in Italy (Notorious Pictures), Germany (Square One), Benelux (DFW), Eastern Europe (Forum), Greece (Italia) and India (Italia).

Rights have also gone in Indonesia (PT Amero), Israel (United King), Latin America (Sun), Middle East (Italia), Spain (Tripictures) and Turkey (Italia).

“Buyers truly resonated with Unlocked as it is an exceptional package,” said Walton. “Between the calibre of talent, filmmakers, and fresh script it really has all the components to make a successful and commercial film worldwide.”

Peter O’Brien wrote the screenplay and Lorenzo di Bonaventura produces alongside Georgina Townsley and Erik Howsam. Claudia Blumhuber is also on board as producer and is financing through Silver Reel.

Bloom introduced the film to buyers in Toronto.

Among Walton’s AFM slate are Shane Black’s detective thriller The Nice Guys with Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling,  Jackie Chan action comedy Skiptrace and Liza Johnson’s Elvis & Nixon starring Michael Shannon and Kevin Spacey.
