Still only 19, Londoner Toby Regbo first made an indelible impression as the young Nemo in Jaco Van Dormael’s Mr Nobody.

Since then, he has finished school, briefly played a young Dumbledore in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (“it was only one day’s shooting,” he is careful to explain) and the lead in Roberto Faenza’s Someday This Pain Will Be Useful To You opposite Ellen Burstyn, Marcia Gay Harden and Peter Gallagher in New York. After that came a show-stealing turn in Sky TV’s Christmas headliner, Treasure Island. With Regbo as Jim Hawkins opposite Eddie Izzard as Long John Silver and Elijah Wood as Ben Gunn, the three-month shoot in Ireland and Puerto Rico was a real high, says the young actor. Now he is “a bit in limbo”, he admits. “Do I carry on working or go to drama school? At the moment, I’m not sure. I’m going to spend a bit of time during the summer at music festivals, and then head for Los Angeles in September and see what happens.”
