Affinity International has picked up international sales rights to CBS Films’ romantic fantasy Beastly starring Vanessa Hudgens, Alex Pettyfer, Mary-Kate Olsen and Neil Patrick Harris.
The film puts a dark spin on the Beauty And The Beast story and is based on Alex Flinn’s novel of the same name. Daniel Barnz (Phoebe In Wonderland) adapted the screenplay and directed.
Pettyfer plays a high school ego who loses his good looks after he humiliates a witch masquerading as a fellow student and must find true love to break the spell.
Susan Cartsonis (What Women Want) produced. CBS Films will release in the US on March 18, 2011.
