The UK sales company is handling Rolf Peter Kahl’s erotic thriller at AFM

UK sales outfit Jinga Films, best known for its genre fare, is moving into arthouse. At the AFM, it is  handling Rolf Peter Kahl’s erotic thriller Bedways.

The film screened at the Berlinale and was theatrically released in Germany through Wim Wenders’ distribution company Reverse Angle. Jinga has now closed a British deal on the film with Britfilms.

Starring Miriam Mayet, Mathias Faust and Lana Cooper, Bedways is the story of a Berlin director who wants to shoot a film about love and sex and invites her actor-friends for screen tests. The intimate collaboration turns into an experiment which has an unexpected impact on their relationship.

“It’s a German spin on Sex, Lies and Videotape,” said Jinga’s Julian Richards “It’s also a fascinating exploration of bohemian life in Berlin with a very cool soundtrack”.

Britfilms also acquired UK rights to another film on Jinga’s slate, John Michael Elfers’ supernatural horror Finale, with Australian/New Zealand going to Accent and Central Europe to HBO CE.
