Shoreline boards sales on Victor Nunez drama Spoken Word

Kuno Becker plays a young spoken word artist who returns home to visit his dying father in New Mexico, only to lose his artistic voice as he gets sucked back in to the dysfunctional life of drugs and violence he left behind.

Shoreline’s director of acquisitions Brandon Paine and executive vice-president Sam Eigen brokered the deal with producers Karen Koch and Bill Conway.

Nunez’s past films include Ulee’s Gold and the 1993 Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner Ruby In Paradise.

“It is clear that the entire creative team behind the project had a strong emotional attachment to the subject matter which really shows on film,” Ruskin said. “Shoreline looks forward to working with them in the future and looks forward to promoting Spoken Word throughout the world.”
