Juno Temple, Sally Hawkins and Lisa Kudrow are joining William H Macy and newcomer Jeremy Dozier in Abe Sylvia’s debut feature Dirty Girl, which is being sold at AFM by Salt.

WME is representing North America on the film about a high school vamp who runs away with a fat gay kid in his homophobic dad’s stolen car.

Temple plays the dirty girl of the title with Hawkins as her “reformed slut” mother and Macy as Hawkins’ Mormon fiancé. Dozier plays the boy.

Rob Paris, Charles Pugliese, Jana Edelbaum and Rachel Cohen are producers, with Christine Vachon, Pam Koffler and Michael Lesser executive producers. The film is being produced by Paris Film, Killer Films and Ideal Partners. Ideal Partners is the financier.

Writer/director Sylvia is a Broadway performer and choreographer turned director, who trained at UCLA and has most recently been directing commercials, for clients including Chrysler and Coca-Cola.

The film will shoot on location in California in March 2010.

“Abe Sylvia is a hugely exciting new writing directing comic talent t have found,” said Salt’s Samantha Horley. “Dirty Girl has it all, it’s funny, naughty, has a huge heart and the gayest dance number since Terrence Stamp donned a lizard suit in Priscilla, a film I was involved in during my PolyGram days. Dirty Girl feels just as much of a joyful treat, a perfect remedy for us all in these gloomy days.”
