Berlinale confirms 10 more Competition titles, plus Jolie’s In The Land Of Blood And Honey to screen in Berlinale Special.

The Berlinale has announced ten more world premieres in its Competition section.

Directors Billy Bob Thornton, Christian Petzold, Paolo and Vittorio Taviani, Benedek Fliegauf, Hans-Christian Schmid, Matthias Glasner, Miguel Gomes, Alain Gomis, Ursula Meier and Spiros Stathoulopoulos all have films in Competition.

On the first weekend of the festival, Angelina Jolie will present her directorial debut, In the Land of Blood and Honey, in the Haus der Berliner Festspiele’s new cinema as part of Berlinale Special.

The ten new Competition entries join previously announced Competition world premieres Captive by Brillante Mendoza, Dictado by Antonio Chavarrias and Postcards from the Zoo by Edwin.

The ten additional Competition titles, all world premieres, are:

Barbara by Christian Petzold (Germany)

Caesar Must Die (Cesare deve morire) by Paolo and Vittorio Taviani (Italy)

Gnade by Matthias Glasner (Germany/Norway)

Jayne Mansfield’s Car by Billy Bob Thornton (Russia/US)

Sister (L´enfant d´en haut) by Ursula Meier (Switzerland/France)

Metéora (Meteora) by Spiros Stathoulopoulos (Germany/Greece)

Tabu by Miguel Gomes (Portugal/Germany/Brazil/France)

Just The Wind (Csak a szél) by Benedek Fliegauf (Hungary/Germany/France)
