Four European exhibitors are on the Berlin Europa Cinemas jury.

This year’s Berlin Europa Cinemas jury comprises four network exhibitors: Wilko Schuringa (De Lieve Vrouw Cinema, Netherlands); Salvatore Cordaro (Multisala Aurora, Italy); Gábor Böszörményi (Csepel Cinema,Hungary) and Till Burandt von Kameke (Central-Kino,Germany).

For the seventh year the European cinema initiative, part of the MEDIA Programme, will present its Label Award  to the best European film shown in the Panorama section of the Berlinale.

Winning films receive the support of the Europa Cinemas exhibitors who give it additional promotion across the network and commit themselves to extend the length of its run on screen.

“Panorama hosting the Europa Cinemas Label Award is a perfect match. Panorama attempts to bridge the divide between auteur and arthouse cinema and the international market at large. The promotion of European cinema is in that respect one of Panorama’s most noble tasks and goes hand in hand with the goals of the Europa Cinemas Label. We are very pleased about our ongoing cooperation,” said Panorama’s director Wieland Speck.

Last year’s Label Award went to Feo Aladag’s When We Leave (Die Fremde).
