Toronto-based Cinemavault has acquired international rights to John N Smith’s romance Love & Savagery starring Allan Hawco and Sarah Greene.

The company will introduce the Ireland-set story of a heartbreaking romance to EFM buyers in Berlin next week.

Vice-president of acquisitions Michael Paszt negotiated the deal with Kevin Tierney of Park Ex Pictures and Barbara Doran of Morag Loves Company.

The film premiered at the Montreal World Film Festival. Mongrel Media has released the film theatrically in Canada and plans a DVD release later this year.

Also new to Cinemavault’s line-up is The Puck Hogs, a comedy about a failing hockey team from director Warren P Sonoda, as well as the drama Perfect Happiness.
