Edward Noeltner announced a raft of deals on the $15m animation on the eve of a screening in Berlin.

Rights to The Legend Of Sarila have gone to; Luxor for Russia/CIS, Telepool, for Germany/Austria, Five Stars for Israel, Pa-Dora, for former Yugoslavia and Blue Pictures for West and East Africa.

Cinema Management Group previously announced deals with Alliance Films for Canada, Associated Euromedia for Turkey, Front Row for Middle East and Talent Epitome for China.

The coming-of-age story film will open in theatres in Quebec on Feb 22 and in English-speaking Canada in April.

CMG will screen Sarila for the first time for buyers on Feb 9 and Feb 11.

“We’re excited to show the film in 3D in Berlin to buyers and we are proud of director Nancy Savard and producer Marie-Claude Beauchamp, who delivered a great film,” said Noeltner.

“Using an indigenous people’s story and music, they have brought to life with humour, action and adventure the story of three young Inuits and their search for a promised land hoping to save their clan from famine.”
