High Point Films, the international theatrical sales arm of Carey Fitzgerald’s High Point Media Group, has snapped up world rights to Freestyle, the third feature to emerge from Film London’s Microwave stable.

Directed by Kolton Lee, film-maker, novelist and former editor of UK black newspaper The Voice, the project is an urban romance set in the world of freestyle basketball, and the cast is led by Colin Salmon and Alfie Allen. It will feature a soundtrack of UK urban artists including Plan B.

The project has been written by Michael Maynard and will be produced by Lincia Daniel. It will be released in the UK by Revolver, which co-financed the film. Freestyle was developed in association with the UK Film Council’s Development Fund.
