Image takes US rights to The Colony

Image Entertainment has picked up US rights to the $16m sci-fi thriller The Colony. Sierra / Affinity handles international sales and screens the film on Sunday [10].

Laurence Fishburne, Kevin Zegers and Bill Paxton star in the tale of imperilled space colonists who trek across hostile territory to investigate a stricken neighbouring community.

Jeff Renfroe wrote and directed The Colony and Paul Barkin, Matthew Cervi and Pierre Even produced.

Bill Bromiley, Mark Ward and Michael Bayer negotiated the deal on behalf of Image Entertainment with domestic representatives WME, Paradigm and Sierra/Affinity.
