Santa Monica-based Myriad Pictures picks up comedy-drama Every Day ahead of the European Film Market.

Liev Schreiber, Helen Hunt, Carla Gugino, Brian Dennehy, Eddie Izzard (pictured) and Ezra Miller star in the tale of a frustrated television writer who faces a crisis when his wife’s curmudgeonly father comes to live with them.

Richard Levine wrote and directed the film and Ambush Entertainment’s Miranda Bailey and Matt Leutwyler produced.

“This is a terrific film that beautifully captures the challenges of ordinary life and how one man manages to get through it,” Myriad president and CEO D’Amico, who will commence international sales next week, said. “The film speaks to the zeitgeist of the times with honesty and a real sense of humour.”

“Myriad has shown tremendous passion for Every Day and we are really happy they have come on board,” Bailey and Leutwyler said. “We love that they share our vision and we fully support their future plans for the film.”

Myriad’s senior vice-president of business and legal affairs David Ducar and vice-president of production and development Amanda Blue negotiated the deal with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones from CAA and Greg Bernstein for Ambush.

Myriad’s EFM slate includes Sundance pick-up happythankyoumoreplease, Main Street starring Colin Firth, Orlando Bloom and Patricia Clarkson, and Sebastian Gutierrez’ Women In Trouble with Carla Gugino, Adrienne Palicki, Emmanuel Chriqui and Sarah Clarke
