Nicolas Chartier’s Voltage Pictures, riding high on a strong response at Sundance to the Midnight entry Tucker & Dale Vs Evil, has added another genre bending title to its Berlin slate.

Chartier will commence sales at EFM on Transylmania, directed by David and Scott Hillenbrand, which centres on hedonistic college students who embark on a term abroad at an ancient castle deep in the heart of Transylvania.

When the youngsters unwittingly unleash an old curse they bring a coven of seductive vampiresses back to life.

“We liked the idea of combining the feel of a road trip movie, with a vampire, monster genre comedy,” David Hillenbrand said. “You get a mix that audiences haven’t quite seen before.”

Full Circle Releasing distributed Transylmania in North American last December.

Chartier’s EFM line-up includes thriller The Whistleblower with Rachel Weisz, action-thriller Game Of Death starring Wesley Snipes, psychological thriller Faces In The Crowd with Milla Jovovich, and action-thriller Born To Raise Hell with Steven Seagal.
