EXCLUSIVE: Exclusive Media adds Gabrielle Stewart from Focus and promotes staff as company operations grow.

Gabrielle Stewart has joined Exclusive Media’s international sales and distribution division from Focus Features, taking up the newly created post of senior vice president.

Stewart’s appointment coincides with the promotion of Cynthia Kim to vice president of sales and distribution and the promotions of Angus Sutherland to director, international sales and acquisitions and Akshay Mehta to manager, international sales and distribution.

Stewart will primarily focus her sales attention on Russia and Latin America as well as handling Exclusive Media’s sales and marketing activities in Europe, alongside Alex Walton, president of international sales and distribution.

At Focus she handled sales on titles including Hanna, Jane Eyre, One Day, The American, Moonrise Kingdom, Hyde Park on Hudson, Another Year and Cloud Atlas.

As vp, Kim will spearhead the company’s sales and distribution activities in Asia, with additional support coming from Mehta. She will also be handling Scandinavia, Benelux, Italy, Israel and Turkey.

“Building on the recent successes of our films The Woman in Black, The Ides of March and End of Watch, we have established a great team of territory specialists to provide our international partners with comprehensive marketing and distribution support,” said Walton.

Growing sales and production outfit Exclusive last year recently launched US distribution wing Exclusive Releasing.

Its sales slate includes Jane Got a Gun, The Look of Love and Disconnect, while on the current production slate are the likes of Black Mass starring Johnny Depp, Rush, Parkland, A Walk Among the Tombstones, Can a Song Save Your Life?, The Quiet Ones and The Woman in Black: The Angel of Death.
