EXCLUSIVE: Brothers Muayad and Rami Alayan’s previous film Love, Theft And Other Entanglements debuted at Berlin 2015.
Cairo-based MAD Solutions has boarded Palestinian Muayad and Rami Alayan’s upcoming feature The Reports On Sarah And Saleem, which was presented at the Co-Production market this year.
The Ramallah-based brothers are participating in the Berlinale Talents this year having premiered their debut feature Love, Theft And Other Entanglements at the Berlinale in 2015.
Directed by Muayad Alayan and written by brother Rami, the film revolves around lovers from either side of the Middle Eastern conflict divide who are caught in the wrong place at the wrong time leaving them to deal with more than their broken marriages.
MAD Solutions CEO Alaa Karkouti, said of the collaboration: “MAD Solutions’ main goal is to find “MAD” and creative film projects. That’s what we’ve found in Alayan Brothers’ new project The Reports On Sarah And Saleem.”
In addition to the Alayan’s new project, MAD has also just boarded Amir Endaleh’s feature length documentary Hi-Jab about German-Lebanese Muslim teenager Noor who is mulling a career in female boxing, having just won a place in Berlin’s largest club devoted to the sport.
