Sigourney Weaver joins DeLillo adaptation Body Art

EXCLUSIVE: Sigourney Weaver is joining the cast of Body Art, Luca Guadagnino’s new film based on the novel The Body Artist by Don DeLillo.

The film, shooting this summer in Portugal, also stars Isabelle Huppert, David Cronenberg and Denis Lavant.

The casting was confirmed this weekend at the EFM by Paulo Branco of Alfama Films. This is the second time that Branco has worked with DeLillo following their collaboration on last year’s Cosmopolis.

Branco also revealed that German actress Veronica Ferres is to co-star with John Malkovich in Michael Sturminger’s The Giacomo Variations. Malkovich and Ferres also appeared together in Raul Ruiz’s Klimt.

The Alfama boss confirmed that Kinology has joined Alfama on François Dupeyron’s Un Homme A Part and will handle world sales (excluding France). The film is due to shoot in March.
