LevelK has sold Australian psychological thriller Rabbit to SquareOne Entertainment for Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland.

Natja Noviani Rosner from LevelK negotiated the deal with Ingrid Pittana, head of acquisitions at SquareOne.

Pittana told Screen, “Rabbit is a smart and haunting, psychological thriller, which lingered with me for days after reading the script and is exactly what you want from a good thriller. We are elated to add this to our release slate and to commence a great relationship with LevelK.”

Luke Shanahan, making his feature directorial debut, will start shooting in May with a cast including Mad Max: Fury Road’s Abbey Lee.

The story follows 25-year old medical student Maude, who is haunted by visions of her identical twin’s violent abduction.

David Ngo (One Eyed Girl) produces for Longshot Films and Projector Films, and Vendetta has Australian rights.
