Birdman, Fury and Leviathan among main competition titles; Roland Joffé to preside over main jury.

Alejandro G Ińárritu, Yimou Zhang, Mike Leigh and Jean-Marc Vallée are among the directors with films screening in competition at the 22nd Camerimage (Nov 15-22), the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography.

The main competition at the festival, held in the Polish city of Bydgoszcz, comprises:

Golden Frog, Silver Frog and Bronze Frog awards will be bestowed on the main competition titles representing the greatest achievements in cinematography. The festival runs from November 15th – 22nd in Bydgoszcz, Poland.

As previously announced, Philip Kaufman (Quills, The Right Stuff) will receive the Festival’s ‘Lifetime Achievement Award for Directing’, and cinematographer Caleb Deschanel (The Right Stuff, The Passion of the Christ) will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Camerimage has also revealed the jurors that will serve across its competition categories.

The main competition will be presided over by director-producer Roland Joffé (The Killing Fields, The Mission).

Jury members include cinematographer Christian Berger, who worked on Michael Haneke’s Hidden, The White Ribbon and The Piano Teacher; and Manuel Alberto Claro, the cinematographer on Lars von Trier’s Melancholia and Nymphomaniac.
